Workshop School of Architecture, Lund (SE)

Marco Broekman is a guest lecturer and design critic at the Sustainable Urban Dynamics studio of the School of Architecture, Lund, Sweden. End of October he gave a lecture on his own practice and a two day workshop with 25 students, working on urban design proposals for the city of Tianjin and their design site around the new train station. At 5th and 6th of december he was visiting critic at end presentation with Martin Arfalk, Jenny Osuldsen, Helene Koch, Peter Siostrom and Harrison Fraker.

Shared Space Utrecht Stadseiland

marco.broekman participeert in het Atelier Stadseiland Utrecht, georganiseerd door Aorta. Met het Stadsatelier biedt Aorta vrije experimenteerruimte aan ontwerpers en andere deskundigen om scenario’s te schetsen die bijdragen aan de gezonde verstedelijking van Utrecht, binnen de verdichtingsopgave waar de stad voor staat. Studiegebied is het Stadseiland, het stadsdeel gelegen tussen het Amsterdam Rijnkanaal en het Merwedekanaal. marco.broekman werkt samen met Gerwin de Vries (LINT Landscape Architecture) en Marije van Bork (HIK Ontwerpers).

Metabolism Antwerp

The consortium of .FABRIC, marco.broekman, University of Antwerp, Common Ground has been selected for the research project "Metabolism of Antwerp, city of flows”. The project is the first phase of  “Antwerp, the circular city of tomorrow”, in which the partners City of Antwerp, OVAM, Port Authority, Vlaamsbouwmeester and Ruimte Vlaanderen want to generate new insights at the intersection of urban development, circular economy and spatial challenges in the context of Antwerp.
