The goal in his projects is to find the best combination between users and spaces. Graduated cum laude at Academie van Bouwkunst Rotterdam. Started the carrier of Onno van Rieven (1976) in design offices and government departments with the ambition to improve urban areas in every aspect. He has a focus on participation, a mix of functions and a gradient in time layer.
Mariëtte Harms is an urban planner, who graduated in 1996 at the TU Delft. She worked in different architecture and urban planning offices in the Netherlands and in Hungary. When she lived in Budapest and in Lyon (France) she also worked as a photographer. In 2018 she returned to the Netherlands and started working at marco.broekman. In her work creativity and realism go hand in hand, to create an attractive, sustainable and vital living environment.
Bart Claassen (1982) is an urban designer, who graduated from the TU Eindhoven on a research about heat mitigation in cities. He worked in architectural and urban design companies in the Netherlands, Sweden and Belgium. Bart worked on projects on various scales, ranging from small scale architectural interventions to eco-districts, and in different countries. Bart has a special interest in sustainability within urban design.
Jordy Stamps is an urban geographer and urban designer who started in the office in January 2017. He enjoys the space around us and wants to use present-day themes to create practical and appealing designs. In addition, he works for the ‘Bosch Architectuur Initiatief’ (the architecture center in Den Bosch) where he organizes various activities that contribute to the debate and spatial quality of the city.

Pinar Balat (1986) is an architect and urban designer. Before acquiring her master's degree from TU Delft she completed her bachelor's in METU, Ankara and her master on collective housing in UPM, Madrid. In the last seven years she worked in various architecture and urban design offices in The Netherlands on projects of housing and neighbourhood-scale urban planning. She aspires to work on research and design projects by which inclusive, equitable and sustainable urban environments are created.
Guido Martin (1991) is an assistant designer. He graduated in Heritage & Architecture (cum laude) at TU Delft (NL) in 2017. He did a minor in Urbanism and Public Building in Spain (UPV) and Czech Republic (CVUT), respectively. Before Guido started at marco.broekman he worked for Real-Estate University Leiden. Furthermore, he co-founded a NGO (2013) where he initiates research projects on bottom-up solutions for global water-stress.
Will Priestley (1986) is an urban designer and urban planner. Prior to completing his Master’s of Architecture, which included a period of study at TU Delft. Over the last seven years he has worked as an urban designer in both Australia and the Netherlands. Prior to joining marco.broekman, Will was a designer and project coordinator at West8 in Rotterdam, working across urban and landscape projects in the US, UK and NL.
Yun-shih Chen is an architect from Taiwan. She has worked as architecture and urban designer in private offices and the Municipality of Taipei. During 2015-2017, she attended the European Post-Masters in Urbanism in TU Delft where she graduated with Cum laude. She is enthusiastic in various urban questions, especially in landscape infrastructure, design with water and the integration of urban thinking and architecture.

Paul van Eeden
Paul van Eeden (1995) graduated as BSc in Urban Design in Amsterdam. During the study he followed the minor “Smart Sustainable Cities”, in collaboration with the municipality of Turku, Finland. He worked as intern at Royal HaskoningDHV and Elberfeld, in Urban Planning and Urban Design respectively, prior to joining marco.broekman.
Martha Seitanidou (1992) is an architect from Greece currently attending the Master of Architectural Urban Design at TU/e in Eindhoven. She has a special interest in projects that designed on a base of innovation create spaces which are both functional and pleasant. Her motto: work together, design for the people and make the world better.
Jacopo Grilli (1991) is an assistant designer from Italy, graduated in 2015 in Urbanism at The Politecnico di Milano. He is developing an approach to urban design, related with arts, installation and concept.
He worked for several design firms in the Netherlands, like: Play the City, VenhoevenCS and West8. Since September 2016 he is attending the master course at the Accademy of Architecture in Amsterdam.
Giel Wieggers (1995) is a student finishing his BSc degree urban design at the Hogeschool of Amsterdam. His goal in urban design is to create sustainable mixed urban areas, including places for people from all social-economic classes. By this, he wants to connect different people in order to prevent the city from segregation.

Chiara Stucchi (1995) is a graduating architect-engineer from Brescia, Italy. She studied at the Università degli Studi di Brescia and she’s doing a 6-months internship at marco.broekman.
Her aim is to graduate with an internal research project about urban regeneration particularly considering sustainability and waterfronts matters.
